Michael Jones began his restaurant career in 1982, working across fine dining, quick service, and everything in between. After decades of hands-on experience, he opened his first restaurant—Jones’ Outpost—in 2017. The success of that venture set the stage for something even bigger.

Inspired by his love for bold flavors and backyard cookouts, Michael turned his attention to a true American classic: barbecue. That’s when Smokin' Jones BBQ was born. What started as a passion project quickly built a loyal following, thanks to smoked meats done right and a welcoming, no-shortcuts approach to food and service.
